How I in awesome wonder Lord
Kneel below your green canopy
And In silence I do dwell
Like a tiny tiny seed
Still but forever seen.
The great ones
Who once stretched out to the
skies
Have fallen, splintered and torn,
Sprawled sentries
Lying all around
Yet new growth abounds beneath
As they return home to you,
Lost not, their memory lives on.
Overhead, the crying geese do fly
Nearby, silken threads do flow, and dance,
And run and fall and run and fall
And sing their timeless song
Foaming over glistening rock
Plunging Into ferny pools
Of unknown depth.
I follow, and return in those footsteps
Of those who came before,
All seems new and yet-
Behold! Your majesty is declared by all;
If you have the ear, the eye the soul
Be bold and name your Lord!
Through God’s silent thrumming song
Of bird, of beast, of man, of all.
